We want to be on your team and we’re always open to more specific feedback or questions regarding our company! Professionally, ToDo4U has been a full time focus since 2012. Starting small, in 2007, with only the hope of helping people with menial tasks in bouts of spare time, ToDo4U has grown into full service project management. ToDo4U is freelance, quality assistance, tailored to your individual needs.
We hold a Bachelors of Science in Economics, Society, & Law with Minors in Communication Management & Social Psychology. Our collegiate and corporate history includes: College Tech Lab, College & City Libraries, Choice International Hotels, Alabama Department of Human Resources, Starbucks Coffee Company (both corporate & later implementing their licensed store), Publix (Shipt Development), and Sodexo Quality of Life Services.
Philanthropic interests & involvement have included Gateway Social Services, First Light Women’s Shelter, Birmingham FOOTMAD, Alabama Heart Gallery, TEDx, Birmingham Humane Society, Birmingham Botanical Gardens, Alabama Symphony Orchestra, Crestwood North Neighborhood Association, Levite Jewish Community Center, Redemptive Cycles, Practice Works, Birmingham Shambhala Center, JFAweb.org, Birmingham Economics Club, as well as consulting work for two political campaigns.
We’re wanna-be property developers. Having completed the 60 hour Real Estate Sales license course in addition to courses in Problem Tenants, Investments, & Risk Management, we realized more and more each hour that it so wasn’t for us though it has come in extremely handy when working with clients.
We’ve attended the Permaculture Institute in New Mexico, Wilderness Survival Skills, & Yoga Teacher Certification. Spoken at a Ladies’ Day Out event, led a Vision Board party, and managed kitchens for events up to 500 people.
We have a deep appreciation for history and things lost & loved and a need to find new life for things. We’ve experienced immense suffering in our own lives and that spurred a devotion to mindfulness, organization, & helping others.
We’re millennial parents. The internet deems us both LifeCoach and “Mindfulness” Certified, if you can really be that, though we’ve made it through Kasung Encampment in Asheville, North Carolina and completed Lojong training at the Westchester Buddhist Center at the Garrison Institute in New York and one 10 day Vipassana course in Jesup, Georgia. JOMO on lock.
We currently train in home repair/remodel/building as well as Vastu Shastra (pre-construction Feng Shui). In addition to attending a number of conferences & workshops, we make time monthly to stay abreast on other relevant topics involving the Institute for Challenging Disorganization, antiques, eldercare, & business/investment through research.
Rachel is also an artist; working on developing an app & writing a book in her spare time.
We’re not looking to make an extra buck by doing things we’re not qualified for. We’ve built numerous relationships with other business professionals for that very reason.
The beauty of it is, since literally anyone could use us, we’re the easiest person to refer. All you have to say is, “I’ve got someone that can handle that!”
You can trust us with your home, business, and clients, not just based on smarts, experience, or compassion. And not just because we rely on this job as a means for our families, but because this business is our passion.
Other facts:
Bonded & Insured (x4)
Based in Birmingham though happy to travel. (To date, we’ve been all over the states for clients. Be the first to send us out of the country!)
We’ll consider all decent experience-related barters.
It’s not always easy to delegate and sometimes we don’t know what we actually need help with or what our real priorities are. For more accurate introductions- book an in-person consultation. That fee can be applied to the first job.
#1: Sorting & Organizing your life (frequently your “stuff” or your business)
#2: Relocation Services (packing, planning, delegating to-do lists)
#3: “Other” The “other” are tasks like investigation, communications, errands. While we frequently care for our clients, their families, businesses, and homes- we’re not competing with your teen relative, your housekeeper, or your retired neighbor… We’re professionals and we do these things because in addition to enjoying it, they also sustain us and and keep us connected between more extensive jobs. In other words, we’re a small business.
While we have fun with our clients, changing your life can be uncomfortable. It takes work, dedication, and a reevaluation of your past habits. And while we hope my clients accept our recommendations, we will never say that any one system or certainly any one recommendation, will change their life. Because changing your life is up to YOU, not where you decide to keep your paperwork.
All of our business is word of mouth. We don’t keep a fancy blog, pay for likes, or to have this website show up when someone types “declutter” into the search box. We don’t pay for referrals or receive kickbacks from companies we may refer to you. Your money goes directly into our families and into your community. If you like what we’ve got going on here, if you like us, if you want to run into more people that feel lighter & happier because they’ve got someone like us in their phone- help us spread the word.
Our sincerest thanks for being part of the ToDo4U journey! Love, Maggie Jung & Rachel Williams
